Critical Illness Insurance

Critical illness insurance provides a living benefit protection if you are diagnosed with a critical illness (stroke, heart attack, cancer, etc) and survive the 30 day waiting period. The policy is paid out tax-free to help pay for medical expenses, home improvements, or bills.

Policies can cover up to 25 conditions including: acquired brain injury, aortic surgery, aplastic anaemia, bacterial meningitis, benign brain tumor, blindness, coma, coronary artery bypass surgery, deafness, dementia, including alzheimer's disease, heart attack, heart valve replacement, kidney failure, life-threatening cancer, loss of limbs, loss of speech, major organ failure on waiting list, major organ transplant, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, occupational HIV infection, paralysis, parkinson's disease and specified atypical parkinsonian disorders, severe burns, and stroke.

Policies can be either term (10, 20 years), to a set year (to age 65, 75), or permanent protection (life). With 10 and 20 year term policies, policies are renewable and convertable.

Policies also include additional benefits such as best doctors, which provides free medical consultations with medical experts, and can also connect you with top medical professionals in your area.
